We live in Burlingame because it offers an exceptional quality of life and great local services. We take pride in our Police Department, parks, local businesses, and community programs for youth and seniors. However, the growing number of visitors who stay in our community has added pressure onto our streets, sidewalks, and public safety services.
These community spaces, streets, and sidewalks now require ongoing maintenance that is beyond current available resources. If we don’t address these issues now, they will be more expensive to repair and maintain in the future.
Burlingame’s hotel tax rate is currently among the lowest in the County and has not been increased in more than 17 years. Voting YES on Measure D ensures that hotel guests help fund the services they use, so local homeowners and residents don’t bear the full cost.
